Siegwerk has received the 2026 EcoVadis Sustainability Achievement Award in the 'Best New Program' category, recognizing its SustainUP sustainable procurement initiative for its early impact and transparency across its global supply chain.
EcoVadis, one of the world's leading providers of business sustainability ratings, presented the award at its Sustain Conference in Paris on March 3, citing Siegwerk's outstanding transparency, strong early impact and systematic focus on human rights. The 'Best New Program' category recognizes companies that demonstrate rapid progress in responsible procurement within the first three years of their EcoVadis journey.
'We are more than proud of this recognition from EcoVadis, as it acknowledges the outstanding joint efforts of our entire procurement community,' said Cathleen Hansohm, global supplier sustainability manager and human rights at Siegwerk, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Launched in mid-2025, SustainUP provides Siegwerk's procurement teams with guidelines, tools and structured frameworks to integrate environmental and social responsibility into sourcing decisions. The program includes supplier engagement sessions, dedicated training and transparent performance tracking. Earlier this year, the company held its first supplier engagement sessions in India, including interactive webinars and an in-depth workshop.
'With SustainUP, we go beyond simply fulfilling regulatory requirements; we shape responsible sourcing by actively fueling change throughout our supply chain,' added Arash Babai, head of global purchasing at Siegwerk.
SustainUP forms part of Siegwerk's broader sustainability strategy, HorizonNow, with measurable goals tied to responsible procurement across its worldwide operations.
