FMS to show web tension and guiding at Loupe

FMS USA will showcase web tension measurement, control and web guiding technology for label, flexible packaging, converting and printing applications at Loupe Americas 2026, including the FMS-segForce segmented tension measuring roller.

FMS-segForce measures web tension across individual material lanes or segments, giving operators a clearer view of how tension is distributed across the web. This is especially useful in slitting, coating, laminating and multi-lane processes where tension variation can lead to alignment problems, wrinkles, uneven winding or inconsistent finished roll quality.
By measuring tension by segment, rather than only total web tension, FMS-segForce helps operators identify process imbalances, improve machine setup and make better adjustments during production.

FMS USA will also feature precision force sensors, tension measuring rollers and compact web guiding systems, along with digital tension amplifiers and closed-loop tension controllers available with industrial bus communication, including EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and EtherCAT. These products are used throughout unwind, intermediate and rewind zones to help maintain stable web tension and alignment.
