Cosmo Films launches CSP Dualcoat synthetic paper

New dual-coated film targets high-performance printing applications across multiple technologies.

Cosmo Films has launched CSP Dualcoat, a new dual-coated synthetic paper product that delivers superior performance across offset, flexographic, thermal transfer, HP Indigo, screen and letterpress printing applications while providing enhanced durability and tear resistance for demanding branding and commercial display requirements.

The Mumbai-based specialty films manufacturer developed the product to address industry demand for sustainable alternatives that maintain high-quality printing standards without compromising environmental responsibility. CSP Dualcoat requires no wood pulp in its construction, supporting reduced deforestation while delivering vibrant, sharp prints with extended longevity in challenging environmental conditions.

'At Cosmo Films, we have taken note of the industry's desire for sustainable options without compromising on quality and durability,' noted Kulbhushan Malik, global business head at Cosmo Films. 'What makes CSP Dualcoat truly special is that it achieves this high-performance standard without requiring any wood pulp, directly supporting our mission to reduce global deforestation.'

The co-extruded, white opaque, polypropylene-based film serves as a paper replacement for applications requiring enhanced longevity, including commercial printing, tags and labels, retail and packaging, identification and credentials, and outdoor applications. The product maintains compatibility with conventional and UV offset, water and UV flexo, letterpress, screen, thermal transfer and HP Indigo printing technologies.

CSP Dualcoat meets EU 10/2011, USFDA, REACH and RoHS compliance standards, ensuring regulatory adherence across target markets.
