Shenzhen JF Bio Products PSA earns certification

Balk, Shenzhen JF Bio Products' flagship bio-based compostable pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), has become the first adhesive product to receive BPI's Commercial and Home Certification.

While packaging materials increasingly adopt compostable alternatives, conventional adhesives in tapes, labels and stickers persist as environmental contaminants. Balk addresses this with an adhesive engineered to decompose completely, leaving no microplastics or heavy metals in soil.

BPI's dual certification validates complete breakdown in professional composting facilities and properly managed home compost systems.

Unlike industrial-only standards requiring high-heat environments, Balk decomposes under lower-temperature backyard conditions, making it accessible even where curbside composting is unavailable.

Custom formulations are available for specific applications, and international expansion is progressing through licensing, distribution and strategic partnerships.
