MM Packaging Ibérica earns EcoVadis platinum

Spanish facility ranks in the global top 1 percent with a 94 out of 100 environmental score.

MM Packaging's Ibérica facility in Spain has been awarded EcoVadis Platinum, placing it among the top 1 percent of more than 150,000 companies assessed by the sustainability rating platform, with an environmental score of 94 out of 100 and scores of 90 or above across three of the four assessment pillars.

The facility reported a 53 percent reduction in scope 3 emissions since 2019. The company's newly launched molded pulp, a fiber-based, plastic-free packaging format, was cited as a significant indicator of its sustainability commitment in the assessment.

'This achievement places us among the top-rated companies assessed by EcoVadis and reflects our strong commitment to sustainability, responsible business practices, and continuous improvement,' said Alcarazo Joaquin, managing director of MM Packaging Ibérica. 'Receiving EcoVadis Platinum is an important milestone in our sustainability journey, but it is not our destination. We will continue to invest, innovate and improve our environmental and social performance.'

MM Packaging is a secondary packaging manufacturer serving food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics markets.
