50th company joins British Short Run Labelling Association
Labelpower Ltd has become the 50th member to join the British Short Run Labelling Association.
The BSRLA, formed in early 2004, has already attracted many of the major players in UK short run labeling to its confidential electronic forum, where members participate in vigorous debate on topical issues, offer mutually beneficial technical and commercial advice to peers and provide free information on the latest industry advances to members. Membership is free for life.
The BSRLA seeks to promote the interests of the many smaller UK label printers involved principally in short run label work, much of it to end users. The association has developed is own web site (http://www.bsrla.org.uk/), private email discussion forum and simple code of conduct intended to promote ethical, fair and sustainable trade in the market place. Label industry suppliers have also started to use the BSRLA as an effective mechanism for getting their product disseminated to key directors and owner managers of label companies by email.
The current administrator of the association, Dr Adrian Steele of Mercian Labels Ltd, said: ‘THE BSRLA has now been established for over two years, and with many hundreds of "threads" on our email discussion group the Association is benefiting members with free advice, trading of specialist jobs and a general forum for letting off steam about industry issues. Recent topics of discussion include KPIs for label printing, UV stability of images, BRC-IOP accreditation and bad paying customers. We would like to encourage more of the many of smaller UK label printers to join us and benefit from free membership of our confidential electronic forum. Any suppliers with interesting product launches or offers are also encouraged to email us their information for review.’
