AB Graphic to host open house

Following the success of its 2005 event, AB Graphic International will host a second Open House at its USA location in Elgin, Illinois with participation from key industry partners including HP, Esko and Avery Dennison.

The event provides a unique opportunity to see a range of equipment that will include RFID and related converting technology, turret rewinding, converting and 100% inspection rewinding with special emphasis on digital printing and digital converting using the latest technology from Hewlett Packard and AB Graphic International’s Omega Digicon Range.

A full agenda will include guest speakers from HP, Esko and Avery Dennison who will address trends in the label industry and optimizing business in the digital converting sector.

Al Spendlow, VP operations of AB Graphic International USA, said: ‘The increased exposure to the Omega and Vectra product range during our first Open House saw us more than double the orders taken when compared to those taken over the same time period in previous years. With continued customer traffic to the new facility, we expect our second Open House to be even more successful. We will demonstrate all aspects of digital label converting with the support of our partners in technology under one roof.’

The HP featured product solution at the event will be the HP Indigo press ws4500 designed for maximum productivity and cost-efficiency. The press prints full-color labels on demand. The combination of substrate versatility and accurate color matching enables the HP Indigo press ws4500 to complement traditional flexography operations and is suitable for a wide array of applications, from self adhesive labels to shrink sleeves and flexible packaging. 

The event will be held on November 6 and repeated in the same format on November 7 and 8 from 9.30am until 4.00pm. A special event hosted by HP will take place on the evening of November 6.
