Amicus agrees recognition agreement with label printer
Amicus, the UK’s largest private sector union, has agreed a recognition agreement with Nottingham-based label printer Cole Fabrics Plc.
Amicus formally applied for union recognition with Cole Fabrics Plc in June 2006 and after a successful membership check and several meetings with both the company and ACAS a voluntary recognition agreement was reached.
Kathy Brooks, Central Midlands branch secretary, said: ‘This is a fantastic achievement for all our members who have worked so hard. They now have the framework in place to start negotiating with the company on issues that matter to them.”
Luke Primarolo, Amicus organizer, added: ‘This is the result of the commitment and effort our members put in and I am so pleased all their hard work paid off. We now look forward to working with the company to benefit all concerned.’
