ANI acquires Australian supplier Macro
ANI Printing Inks has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of Macro Australia Pty Limited, an independent supplier in the Australian and New Zealand market specializing in UV-Flexo inks, adhesives and varnishes for Narrow Web converters.
“Our entire organization is driven by our efforts to understand today’s and tomorrow’s label converter requirements and then provide the right solutions with effective, responsive and personalized local support,” says Ewald Draaijer, president & general manager, ANI Narrow Web Division.“ The key to our success lies in providing consistent inks globally with a strong local and personalized technical support.
“By providing Macro’s product portfolio through our global network of Narrow web experts, we are convinced that it will offer an enhanced service to our current customer base as well as opening up several new opportunities for us all over Asia, Europe and North America”, concludes Draaijer. “With the Macro acquisition we buy in to a well established local support organization with a highly specialized product portfolio and some excellent synergies for us in Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the Asia Pacific. This investment follows the ANI dedication towards offering local personalized support globally. Service is crucial and to be able to offer this we have to be present with the right infrastructure and undisputed leadership in product portfolio. It is definitely a landmark step we take by acquiring Macro in supporting this growing industry.”
On December 1, 2004, ANI Printing inks and BASF Printing Systems merged and formed a new company for printing inks, printing plates and pigments/ resins for the graphics and packaging industry.
