Coveris has appointed Jörg Schuschnig as chief financial officer with immediate effect, replacing Markus Petersen, who is stepping down from his role for personal reasons.
Schuschnig graduated with a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Vienna University of Economics and Business as well as the Business School of St Gallen and developed a wealth of experience acquired over the last 20 years in financial and top executive leadership roles, most of them in the packaging industry with Mondi and Mayr-Melnhof. He was most recently CFO and COO of Bene Group, a company specializing in designing and furnishing modern office and working environments, and CEO of its holding company. He also holds various board memberships.
‘I have known Jörg Schuschnig for a long time as we previously worked together at Mondi, and I am delighted of him joining Coveris,’ commented Jakob A. Mosser, CEO of Coveris. ‘His proven leadership and expertise, both in finance, strategy and operations, will be key assets to support our internal and external growth agenda and to ensure that Coveris remains at the forefront of the industry, leading the development of innovative sustainable packaging solutions.’
Markus Petersen, former Coveris CFO, will leave the company at his request by year-end.
‘Markus, with whom I have partnered for more than ten years, has played a pivotal role in our transformation strategy since joining Coveris in 2018. Recently, he has also been instrumental in closing our ESG-linked refinancing. We thank him for his tireless efforts and wish him all the best for his professional and private future,’ concluded Mosser.
