Durst Group expands management of Durst Austria

Wolfgang Knotz holds a degree in industrial and mechanical engineering with a focus on production engineering. After joining Durst Austria in 2013, he took over as the head of the assembly and, shortly after that, as head of the general production. 

Since 2016, he has been responsible for optimizing digital printing systems as head of the development department in Lienz. In April 2021, Knotz was appointed chief technology officer of Durst Group with Georg Großrubatscher in Brixen and became a member of the Durst management team.

‘Durst Austria is and will remain an essential part of the Durst Group, and we want to continue to grow in the coming years,’ commented Christoph Gamper, CEO, and co-owner of Durst Group. ‘For me, the appointment of Wolfgang Knotz as technical managing director is the logical consequence for this objective, as he has contributed a great deal to the development of the company's location in Lienz with his expertise. Andreas Unterhofer will continue in his role as commercial managing director and will take on additional tasks in the area of HR strategy and development in the management team of Durst Group. I wish Wolfgang and Andreas all the best in their respective new or expanded roles and I am already looking forward to many joint successes within the Durst family.
