McKeown steps into the role following the planned retirement of Bob Scholes, who has worked for the company for over 28 years.

‘Bob takes with him a great deal of industry knowledge and experience. We will miss him greatly, but wish him all the very best for his well-earned retirement. Clare is an experienced packaging expert. She has worked with our cellulose film brands, NatureFlex and Cellophane, as a product manager and market development manager for over 20 years. She has well-established customer and retailer relationships and is the perfect candidate to drive our UK & Eire sales into the next decade,’ commented Andy Sweetman, sales and marketing manager for Futamura, EMEA.

In addition, Amaia Cowan has been appointed business development manager, further strengthening the European team following the continued sales growth of its compostable NatureFlex films.

‘Amaia previously worked for Innovia Films for over 20 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from within the film manufacturing and packaging industries. She will particularly support our application and market development activities in Europe, including certain strategic brand owner account responsibilities,’ added Sweetman.
