Hybrid Software appoints UK and Ireland sales manager

Hybrid Software has appointed Koen Lesage (pictured, left) as sales manager for UK and Ireland as it continues to expand in northern Europe.

Hybrid Software is an order lifecycle management (OLM) software specialist, formed in North America in 2007 as Hybrid Integration. During 2011 Hybrid Software BV, based in Kortrijk, Belgium, was created as a subsidiary with responsibility for sales throughout Europe and Latin America. The US operation also changed its name to Hybrid Software, while there are offices in India and Germany, and distributors in other countries.

Hybrid’s OLM software is designed for use in all areas of print, from commercial offset and digital to packaging, labels, inkjet and the screen/sign markets. It treats software integration as “a product”, covering existing software, hardware and workflows including online ordering, production, pre-press, MIS, financial systems and databases. Hybrid said this streamlines the integration of systems purchased over a period of time from various suppliers, reducing the cost to the end user.

‘The OLM software is the most exciting development I’ve come across in years and I’ve yet to encounter a situation where it wouldn’t save money in a company’s normal day-to-day operation'

Lesage has been working with software for the graphic arts sector since 2004, and has built up a comprehensive technical knowledge during his time with companies such as Artwork Systems, EskoArtwork and Four Pees. His appointment is the first step in plans to grow in the UK and Ireland, which will eventually involve taking on experienced staff based locally in order to provide on-site support to customers, Hybrid said.

Lesage will be based at the European headquarters in Kortrijk but will spend most of his time in the UK.

He said: ‘In previous jobs I’ve had responsibility for the UK market and so I already have quite a list of contacts amongst printers, pre-press houses and sign makers. Even though it’s still very early days I’ve had some extremely positive responses once I’ve sat in front of people and explained the concept behind Hybrid’s unique OLM.

‘The OLM software is the most exciting development I’ve come across in years and I’ve yet to encounter a situation where it wouldn’t save money in a company’s normal day-to-day operation. It doesn’t take long to demonstrate to someone how easily OLM can be integrated into their existing hardware and workflows and show the potential it offers to overcome bottlenecks in production.’
