IIMAK promotes José Morlin to global thermal transfer ribbon role

International Imaging Materials (IIMAK) has named José Morlin as its new vice president of sales and marketing for thermal transfer ribbons, giving him responsibility for North America alongside his existing duties for the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.

Morlin joined IIMAK in 2002, and the company said he has since played an instrumental role in growing thermal transfer ribbon sales over the last decade

He has previously worked for the European subsidiaries of Hewlett Packard and Gerber Scientific.

In his new role, Morlin will be responsible for thermal transfer ribbon sales and marketing in North America, in addition to managing his existing responsibilities for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the Asia-Pacific regions.

IIMAK president Doug Wagner said: ‘José is an industry veteran with proven success across multiple geographies and channels.

‘His passion for the thermal transfer ribbon business along with his steady leadership, energy, intellect and strategic and tactical understanding of our industry make him an ideal fit for this position.’
