MPS Systems has appointed Atze Bosma as its new CEO

He brings 30 years of management experience in the packaging, logistics and food industries, having previously worked for various international companies including Heineken, Florimex International and the Dutch Railways. Bosma has broad experience in leading transitioning companies, mostly in the role of CEO.

Bosma succeeds Wim van den Bosch, who has decided to continue his career outside of MPS as of January 1st, 2019. He will lead MPS alongside Willem Huijink, CFO, effective December 1, 2018.

Bosma was introduced to MPS by its new shareholder, ABN Amro Participaties (AAP), which became a shareholder in MPS together with the management team earlier this year. With the acquisition by AAP, MPS entered a new growth phase to become a top-3 player in the market. The appointment of Bosma is intended to drive further global growth at MPS Systems.

Friso Janmaat, managing director at AAP, commented: ‘Wim van den Bosch did an excellent job at MPS ensuring the organization was well-positioned for further global growth. We are thankful for his efforts over the past five years, and we trust Atze Bosma to be the right person to lead MPS towards an even stronger position in the printing industry.’

Bosma said: ‘As I was looking for a new challenge in my career, when AAP approached me for this role at MPS, it was the right step for me to take. MPS is a company with a great deal of potential, and I look forward to further unleashing its true value.’
