Segelken has been responsible for the area of business development at the family-owned company since January 2019. Looking forward, the 32-year old is expected to tread in the footsteps of his father, Andreas, and take over the position of managing director in the future. He has previously worked in the field of brand and business development of globally operating companies in China and Belgium.

‘Due to his international experience, Torben brings a fresh breeze to the management. He is applying himself with extraordinary enthusiasm and adding new impetus,’ said Holger Ostermann, managing director of Carl Ostermann Erben.

With the appointment of Segelken the company, already managed by the fifth generation of the family, regards itself as well equipped for the future. The 32-year old is expected to transform the high-end partner for printing plates smarter, more efficient and even more customer friendly than previously.

‘Standing still means going backwards. Our objective is to make our customers even more competitive by means of technical progress - and Torben is a tremendous help in this respect,’ explained Thomas Grünitz, technical director at coe.
