Yupo announces leadership changes

Yupo Corporation, a leader in the manufacturing and sale of synthetic paper, has announced leadership changes that will strengthen the company’s sales and marketing team and further drive growth.


Yupo Corporation Japan has promoted Shigeru Takano from senior managing director to the role of president. Departing president, Osamu Sasaki, will also continue his association with Yupo as an advisor. Previously a managing director, Sumio Nomura will assume the duties of executive vice president, while Chairman of Board, Norimoto Takahashi, will continue providing his expertise to Yupo as an advisor.


Within Yupo Corporation America, Marty Fiorillo has been promoted from commercial paper sales manager, North East, Mid-West region and assumes the role of vice president of distribution, sales and marketing. He will be responsible for Yupo’s extensive marketing campaigns and paper merchant distribution sales. Formerly director of sales, Andrew Madden will assume the role of vice president of sales, thermal, pressure sensitive labels, and general label applications. Ed Burtner has been promoted from director to vice president of manufacturing. Mike Licata, former manager of technical services, has been appointed director of technical services for the company.

Yupo has also recently entered into exclusive distribution agreements with Hacienda Federico through Mario Coto Gaucherand for the Latin American markets and Legion Papers for the distribution of Yupo as a premium art and watercolor substrate.
