Aqua FLASH Brings High Speed to Flexographic Platemaking

Agfa Corporation has entered the flexo plate arena with the launch of a new photopolymer plate for the flexo market in North America. Aqua FLASHT is claimed the fastest flexo plate available in the market today, capable of making a finished plate in less than 45 minutes. The Aqua FLASH system allows for parallel platemaking capabilities producing a set of four fully processed plates in less than 70 minutes. Additionally, the plate uses a water-wash system instead of solvents to process the plate. 

Aqua FLASH is capable of providing resolution up to 175 lpi and can be used to print to a wide variety of substrates including tags and labels, envelopes, flexible packaging, folding cartons and more.

The Aqua FLASH system was developed in conjunction with Olec, Flexo BRAVO and Toray. It is commercially available from Agfa in North America.
