Asia-Pacific core of Ahlstrom strategy

Ahlstrom, global supplier of release base papers and face-stock label papers, is increasingly committed to the growth of the pressure sensitive (PSA) business in Asia. At Labelexpo Asia, the company will unveil new products, new production capacity projects, and new Asian subsidiaries.

From December 7 - 9, Ahlstrom will exhibit at Labelexpo in Shanghai and display the latest developments in its range of silicone base papers and facestock label papers. The exhibition will also be a timely occasion to stage the upcoming investments in new production capacity for release base papers, and to celebrate the recent opening of two new branches in Asia, which strengthen Ahlstrom’s commitment to the region.

Ahlstrom is a producer of both super calendered and clay coated release base papers for silicone coating. The main customers for release base papers are global producers of PSA laminates. Market growth is driven by the increasing use of PSA labels, which progresses by double-digit percentages in Asia Pacific, and by new self-adhesive applications.

On December 6, Ahlstrom will take part in a Pressure-Sensitive Laminate Seminar at the Shanghai International Convention Center, Hotel Shanghai.
