Cartes wins FSEA Gold Leaf Award second year in a row
Italian manufacturer recognized for best use of foil and embossing in the Self-Promotion Category.
For the second year in a row Italian manufacturer Cartes has been recognized during the 31 Annual FSEA Gold Leaf Awards, along with its customers which also returned home with one Gold and two Silver awards.
The Foil and Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) Gold Leaf Awards are judged on design, execution and level of difficulty. The annual competition consistently draws entries from around the world and is committed to gaining visibility throughout the graphic arts community at large.
From foil stamping and embossing to specialty coating, film laminating, laser cutting, die-cutting, cold foil application, binding and more, the competition celebrates the quality, added value, shelf presence, security and brand recognition that these finishing processes lend to the printed sheet.
All judges are knowledgeable in print finishing professionals, who select Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in each category. Additionally, a ‘Best of Show’ award is selected from among the Gold award winners in each category.
To ensure fairness, submitting companies are masked during the judging process.
For second year in a row Cartes has been recognized by the judges with Gold and Silver awards for Best Use of Foil/Embossing Label in Self-Promotion Category.
In the previous edition of the FSEA Gold Leaf Awards, Cartes took home Gold, recognized for its 10 Vendemmie label, printed by GT360 by Sovemec Italy. The company also claimed Silver with the 'Araña' label, another product of GT360.
The company didn't stop there, winning Gold in the category of Client Promotion brochure with its 'Cartes 1970-2020' label, also printed by GT360.
Lastly, in the category for best use of laser cutting, Paragon Label emerged as the gold winner with their 'Koval' label, produced with the Cartes Gemini dual laser cutting machine. Cartes also claimed the silver prize with the 'Araña' label, another product of GT360.
Cartes unveiled six new machine configurations at Labelexpo Europe 2023, where it also was honored with a Global Label Award for Innovation for companies with up to 300 employees. Cartes impressed the judges with its fully automated end-to-end digital embellishment line, which integrates inkjet embellishment, digital metallization and laser die-cutting modules.
