FLAG announces lunch & learn with Actega

This interactive session, titled ‘Unpacking Compliance: Navigating Regulatory Landscape in Packaging,’ will be presented by Daniel Juckett of Actega.

FLAG (Flexo Label Advantage Group), a buying group with 140 label converter members, has confirmed its next lunch & learn event scheduled for March 18 at 2:00 EDT, featuring vendor partner Actega. In this interactive session, 'Unpacking Compliance: Navigating Regulatory Landscape in Packaging,' Daniel Juckett of Actega will delve into crucial regulatory topics impacting the label and packaging industry.

The session will cover a spectrum of regulatory matters, shedding light on important definitions and details. Topics to be explored include California Prop 65 with a focus on TMPTA examples, insights into the toxics in packaging clearinghouse (TPCH), also known as CONEG, an overview of EU reach, a discussion on the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHs), insights into PFAS - forever chemicals, a comparative analysis of food packaging - indirect vs. direct, a quick glance at sustainability, and an overview of ‘other’ notable regulations.

The session will conclude with a dedicated Q&A, allowing participants to engage directly with Juckett and gain deeper insights into these critical regulatory aspects. It also aims to deliver essential information for navigating different market verticals within the packaging industry.

JC McKay, President of FLAG, shared: ‘In the dynamic world of labels, understanding regulatory rules is crucial in certain markets, and for small to mid-sized label converters who typically wear a lot of hats, sessions like this really help support their success. These lunch & learn sessions equip our members with the knowledge they need to navigate a complex marketplace. They’re not just a source of information - we do these to help both our members and vendor partners succeed together.’

The association members have access to the entire Lunch & Learn library, including over 50 past sessions focused on helping them grow their label businesses.
