GMG Color’s Birgit Plautz appointed president of TAGA

GMG’s technical director to guide the organization and advance its mission over the coming years.

GMG Color Americas (GMG), one of the leading color management and proofing technology developers, has announced that its technical director, Birgit Plautz, has been appointed president of the Advisory Committee of the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA).

TAGA, an organization that connects the international community of design and graphics arts professionals and academics, is dedicated to scientific research and technological innovation in the diverse field of graphic communications. Hosting the renowned TAGA Annual Technical Conference, TAGA serves as a premier platform for communication, publication, and outreach in the graphic communications industry.

Having previously served as executive vice president, as the new president of TAGA’s Advisory Committee, Plautz will play a pivotal role in guiding the organization and advancing its mission over the coming years. Her experience as technical director at GMG, industry insights and dedication to technological advancement make her the ideal candidate to lead TAGA into the future.

Her appointment will support the organization’s purpose as a worldwide forum for sharing and disseminating theoretical, functional, and practical information on technologies for graphic arts print production and related processes.
