Avery Dennison announces expansion in India
Avery Dennison (India) Pvt. Ltd. has announced the setting up of a new production facility located in the Ranjangaon Industrial Area of Pune, India. This significant venture demonstrates the company’s commitment to South Asia and is part of the on-going strategy to support growth in India.
John Quinn, vice president and general manager, Roll Materials Asia Pacific, said: ‘The new plant will help Avery Dennison meet the increasing demand for more pressure-sensitive materials in India as we continue to grow along with our customers who are doing an excellent job serving local and increasingly global brand owners and retailers. We are very excited about the market potential India represents in both the short and the long term.’
Commercialization of the Pune plant is planned for later 2007 and Raj Srinivasan, managing director, Materials India added, ‘Expanding our manufacturing capacity demonstrates our strong commitment to the Indian market. We are delighted that demand for our pressure-sensitive materials in this region has grown with the fantastic support from our customers over the years. We look forward to continuing to drive growth with this new expansion by partnering with our customers to develop existing and new markets together.’
