Avery Dennison launches new high-speed RFID print and apply solutions
Avery Dennison Printer Systems has increased its offering of systems for the in-house production and application of RFID labels. Printer Systems is a part of Avery Dennison Retail Information Services (RIS). The updated product lineup consists of a high-speed print-and-apply RFID labeling system; a high-speed, apply-only RFID labeling system; and a high speed benchtop system. The systems are designed for rapid setup and integration into existing or new packaging, labeling and shipping operations. They are available for fast delivery, backed by global RFID compliance consulting services and available with warranty and equipment management contract options.
The new printer and inline application systems give options to companies facing retailer and government-imposed RFID mandates and can be used as a dedicated in-house high-speed RFID label printing solution or be used in conjunction with Avery Dennison RIS’ RFID Ticket Express global service bureau. RFID Ticket Express supplies preprinted and preprogrammed RFID carton and pallet labels.
According to Mark Hansinger, marketing director for Avery Dennison Printer Systems, the RFID printer and application product offering addresses marketplace concerns over meeting compliance requirements and integration complexities associated with using multiple vendors.
‘Our prime objective is helping organizations to efficiently meet RFID compliance labeling requirements. Avery Dennison Printer Systems’ business model is about partnering with customers, understanding their needs, and then responding with RFID label printing and application solutions that will meet their needs. Our products program will then verify RFID labels to provide maximum readability before the label goes on the carton or pallet.’
Hansinger claims that systems have been shipped, installed and are operating at multiple customer manufacturing locations. Avery Dennison has established a dedicated line for companies seeking RFID labeling information: 1-888-RIS-RFID.
