Avery Dennison unveils collection for Tissu Premier Exhibition
Avery Dennison Information and Brand Management Services (IBMS) unveils its collection of woven labels for the spring/summer 2007 season at Tissu Premier, Lille, the first show in the 2006 European fabrics and accessories exhibition calendar.
This year’s collection is notable for several innovations, says Massimo Ghislandi, marketing manager Europe, Avery Dennison IBMS. ‘After discussions with clients, we have organized our designs by market segment, which enables us to present our concepts in a focused, coherent manner. And, also for the first time, all our designs will be accessible online via a new website, providing clients with a convenient way of viewing, comparing and selecting the look that best complements their garments.
‘Our philosophy is to ensure that the label integrates seamlessly with the garment to complete the designer’s idea. We are especially proud of the new collection, which perfectly combines creativity with function.’
He adds that a number of themes are clearly visible in the styles and colors for spring/summer 2007. ‘Overall, the feel is of softness and simplicity - colors are more muted, as if sprinkled with fine dust, and there is less decorative detail. As happens each season, the themes pose challenges to our design team, and every year we respond with ideas that reflect and enhance the garments. This year, we believe we’ve done it again.’
