Avery RIS makes agreement on heat transfer technology
Avery Dennison Retail Information Services (RIS) has made an agreement with Subli Impresos, Murr S.A., Durango, Mexico (SIMSA) for advanced heat transfer technology for superior images, text, bar codes and security characters in apparel and footwear tag-free labeling applications.
The advanced heat transfer technology is aimed to strengthen RIS’ position as a leading supplier of heat transfer applications and related products and services. In addition to the company’s line of quality ComfortTag heat transfers, Avery Dennison RIS offers highly reliable heat transfer bonders and global service and support.
According to Kevin Young, VP/GM, Avery Dennison RIS, the agreement comes at a time when apparel manufacturers that market goods carrying heat transfer applications are seeking a competitive advantage.
‘Avery Dennison RIS is pleased to team with industry’s most innovative producer of heat transfer technology,’ said Young. ‘Our agreement with SIMSA will benefit quality-conscious apparel and footwear manufacturers worldwide. The SIMSA technology delivers brilliant imaging and lends itself to the creation of fresh new designs. Avery Dennison RIS’ network of manufacturing facilities makes this technology available to customers on a global basis.’
SIMSA president Rodolpho Murra added, ‘We were looking for a company with a global presence who could not only distribute this technology to apparel and retail customers, but could provide them with world class service and support. We have found this in Avery Dennison RIS.’
