Bangalore offset printer moves in-line with Gallus

Global Printing and Packaging, Bangalore has installed a Gallus EM 280 machine. Global is the leading paper and board converter in Bangalore and has been printing wet glue labels offset. With this new acquisition it hopes to cater to the growing demand in the pharmaceutical industry for self-adhesive labels.

’We looked at several presses from all over the world before deciding on Gallus. The factors that tilted the balance were the reliability of Gallus and availability of service support from Heidelberg in Bangalore itself,’ says B K Manjunath, managing director of Global Print and Packaging (P) Ltd. He also hopes to service the food and garment industry for which there is a growing demand in the region.

Gallus EM 280 has a maximum print width of 280 mm and can print on substrates like papers, films and boards from 38 micron to 280 gsm. It has the ability to include hot foil stamping within the printing unit.
