BASF increases specialty acrylic monomer prices in US

Effective January 1, 2008, or as contracts allow, BASF is raising prices in North America between 10 to 15 percent for its specialty acrylic monomers, including hydroxyethyl acrylate, hydroxypropyl acrylate, tert-butyl acrylate, tert-butyl methacrylate and iso-butyl acrylate.
The company says that action is necessary due to escalating energy, transportation and raw material costs in the region.
