BASF Printing Systems builds new flexo plate plant

BASF Printing Systems has begun construction of a new production plant for the manufacture of flexographic printing plates in Willsttt, Baden, Germany.
‘Very satisfactory business development over the last few years and continuing favourable sales forecasts for flexographic printing plates influenced the decision to invest in another production plant at the Willsttt site,’ says the company. Another factor was that the existing plants had reached their capacity limit. The new plant, which is scheduled to commence operations in 2006, should significantly increase production capacity and will optimally complement the existing plants. The investment will create 30 new jobs at the Willsttt site.
