Boise Paper has announced that it has selected key engineering and equipment suppliers for the Wallula, Washington reconfiguration investment announced on August 10, 2005. Boise has made commitments to key suppliers, a critical step required to solidify delivery and installation dates. The investment is designed to expand pressure-sensitive paper production to meet growing global demand.

Boise’s engineering supplier on the investment is Pasadena, California-based Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., an engineering and construction firm serving the paper industry and a long-term collaborator with Boise. Jacobs has been working with Boise since August of 2005 on the pressure-sensitive reconfiguration of the existing 250” #3 paper machine in Wallula. Boise will not reveal the equipment suppliers on the project due to the proprietary nature of the technology and investment.

‘Investing in the pressure-sensitive market supports our strategy to focus on growing markets in specialty and premium grades,’ says Miles Hewitt, senior vice president and general manager of Boise Paper.
Boise Paper's label, release and specialty papers business is a supplier of pressure-sensitive release liners, face stocks, and related specialty papers.
