British retailer uses Checkpoint Systems

Checkpoint Systems has been selected by retailer Sainsbury’s to provide the barcode labels, care labels, woven labels and swing tickets for its ‘Gok for TU’ range, designed by British fashion expert and TV presenter Gok Wan.
Lisa Golby, clothing packaging manager at Sainsbury’s, said, ‘Checkpoint really understands our needs, fulfills our expectations for quality and has all of the capabilities we need in house, which really speeds up the sampling and manufacturing processes. Managing the production of complex tickets without a long delay has been integral to delivering the Gok ranges on time.’
Per Levin, Checkpoint Systems’ president merchandise visibility and apparel labeling solutions, added, ‘We are delighted to have been appointed by Sainsbury’s to provide apparel labeling solutions for the Gok for TU range. We believe that speed and efficiency are key for retailers and brand manufacturers and are committed to delivering quality solutions to our customers.’
The project builds on a seven-year relationship between Sainsbury’s and Checkpoint Systems, which established its dedicated apparel labeling line of business in 2009. Checkpoint Systems offers increased integrated functionality such as brand identity, variable data management, shrink management and merchandise visibility, including highly advanced encoding solutions for its RFID-based offering. It encompasses creative design teams from around the world and provides a single source for all apparel branding, labeling and identification needs.
