Brook & Whittle, a US-based label and flexible packaging converter, is set to expand to a new site. The company says that its move to a new 75,000 square foot factory in Guilford, Connecticut, will double its annual production capacity.

The plant, which opens in April, will cater to its high volume production work for the beverage market and will house a 17”, 22” and a new 40” press with additional ancillary and support equipment.

Stephen Stewart, CEO, commented: ‘During the last year we have made several significant investments to strengthen our capabilities. Investing in two sites increases our capacity for future growth, provides security for our customers and provides redundancy to both facilities.’

Many members of staff will move to the new facility, while total numbers employed will rise by about 20 people this year.

Stewart added: ‘We are very grateful to the town of Guilford for their support in helping us establish our new facility there. Brook & Whittle will continue to invest in cutting-edge technology and to seek out opportunities for growth in order to create an innovative, sustainable and secure business, capable of meeting its customer’s needs now and in the future.’
