Despite rationalisation in all its mills to offset cost increases, Cham Paper Group, has announced price increases averaging 8 per cent - according to grade and invoiced currency - effective on deliveries from 01.10.2005
In a statement, the company said: ‘The Paper Industry has serious cause for concern. The cost of raw materials, oil-based additives, transport and energy has deteriorated from month to month, with no sign of relief.’
Cham Paper Group has a 260'000 tonne annual capacity for high-quality, speciality base papers for flexible packaging, self-adhesives, wet glue labels and various technical / industrial applications, including special grades for the tobacco industry, inkjet and transfer printing. The Group comprises 5 paper mills in 3 European countries.
