For the 13th consecutive year, Chemsultants International has earned recognition as one of Ohio’s fastest-growing companies.

The company received the honor, known as the ‘Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50’, from the Lakeland Institute for Economic Development, part of Lakeland Community College. Criteria for the annual award are consistent sales growth and an environment that encourages new ideas and business development. The 50 honorees are based in Northeastern Ohio’s Lake and Geauga counties.

Founded in 1986, Chemsultants International specializes in the research and development of polymer systems, adhesives and sealants technology, and manufacturing of physical property testing instrumentation for the adhesives industry.

Over the years it has formed partnerships with, among others, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) and the Adhesives and Sealants Council (ASC) that have fostered interactive ‘hands on’ workshops and, with PSTC, the Alliance for Excellence in Tape Testing.

Based in Mentor, Ohio, Chemsultants International is a full-service research and development laboratory capable of testing a broad range of label, tape and adhesive products for conformance to the standards of the PSTC; The Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute, Inc.; the American Society for Testing and Materials, now known as ASTM International; and The European Association for the Self-Adhesive Tape Industry, among others.

Next summer, Chemsultants International is scheduled to move to a new 40,000-square-foot campus that will house the company’s executive, sales and marketing, and training facilities. The site has enough space to accommodate two other 40,000-square-foot buildings, including space to develop fuel cell technology.
