Clondalkin revamps Flexible Packaging Division

The Clondalkin Group has restructured for its Flexible Packaging Division in Europe to create greater cohesion between the eight operating companies. Expertise and best practice will now be shared more smoothly within the newly formed Business Units: Performance Films & Foils, Engineered Films, Laminated & Coated Products and Trading.
CEO of the Group’s Flexible Packaging Division, John Fitzgerald, said: ‘I am delighted to announce the formation of our renewed Flexible Packaging Division Business Unit structure. The changes bring a new management team that will use its collective experience of the packaging sector to ensure we remain at the forefront of the Flexible Packaging industry and continue to expand our business by creating innovative and high quality products.’
Clondalkin has more than 40 production sites, and experience in converting all packaging material substrates to service a diverse range of end markets. The Flexible Packaging Division is a specialist supplier of flexible packaging materials. The Business Units specialisein coated and laminated waxed papers and foils, high-barrier lidding materials, inner liner for the tobacco industry, pre-cut and reel-fed lids mainly for the food sector, custom shrink sleeves, cast and blown polymer-based plastic substrates and converted products, and provides market-leading packaging solutions and services via its Trading Business Unit.
The Division provides packaging solutions to a wide range of end-user markets including food & beverage, retail, tobacco, industrial, and agricultural & horticultural sectors.
Fitzgerald concluded: ‘Our commitment to sustained research and development, as well as continuous investment in all our businesses, will continue to be supported by an active acquisition policy. This will allow us extend our production and sales presence in new markets.’
