Carby Label orders fourth Lombardi press

Italian label converter Carby Label has ordered a fourth Lombardi Converting Machinery press, an Invicta i1 670 flexographic press to be installed at its production facility in Casamassima, near Bari, targeting expansion into the flexible packaging market alongside its existing label production.

The Invicta i1 670 features a 670 mm web width, designed to bridge traditional label production and wider web flexible packaging applications. The platform is built around high automation, fast job changeovers, consistent print quality and maximum production flexibility, allowing converters to expand into flexible packaging while maintaining the productivity levels required for label work. The 670 mm configuration gives Carby Label the web width needed to address fruit and vegetable packaging requirements while running on an in-line flexographic platform compatible with its existing production expertise.

The investment is intended to double the company's production capacity and enable it to respond to growing customer demand in the fresh produce sector.
