Stampa Sud invests in two Rotocon Chrome machines

The deal was facilitated by Rotocon’s local agent, NTG Digital.

Stampa Sud, an Italian printing company based in Lamezia Terme, has invested in Rotocon's RFP 350 flexo press and RSH 340 slitting inspection rewinder. Stampa Sud has invested in the two Rotocon machines to expand its label production capabilities, complementing its new Domino N610i-5C digital web printing system. The deal was formalized by Rotocon’s local agent, NTG Digital.

The RFP 350 flexo press features one printing unit and a semi-rotary die cutting station with slitting and dual rewinding capabilities. Additionally, it includes a flexo unit for varnishing, equipped with a UV drying system featuring an anilox and cylinder, a cold foil/lamination unit, and a shear slitting unit with six rotary blades and a counter blade.

The RSH 340 slitting inspection rewinder includes a 750mm unwinder unit with an electronic web guide, a splice table for label inspection, a module to integrate a BST TubeScan inspection system, a dual rewinder unit, a vacuum slitting trim edge remover, manual razor slitting unit with six blades, and an automatic slitting unit with six shear knives.

Mauro Cellini, NTG Digital technical director, said: 'Stampa Sud opted for the Rotocon Chrome flexo press and finishing machine because both offer top-tier components in a modular design, allowing them to integrate additional modules later and expand their application reach.

'We have represented Rotocon machines for many years, dating back to the introduction of their Ecoline line initially through Rotocontrol in Europe. Their commitment to quality and intuitive operation has consistently proven successful in the Italian market.'
