Epson’s stand will also feature its extensive range of ColorWorks on-demand color label printers, including the C8000e series.

Epson has confirmed its participation at Labelexpo Europe 2025, taking place in Barcelona from September 16 to 19. Epson plans to present its latest innovations in commercial and industrial label production, including the highly anticipated SurePress L-5034.
Epson’s award-winning SurePress label presses and ColorWorks label printers are widely used across Europe in various sectors and applications, setting the standard for excellence, reliability, and productivity in color and monochrome label production.
At Labelexpo Europe 2025, Epson will showcase its latest presses and printers for every type of label application, serving a diverse range of commercial and industrial sectors, including retail, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and logistics.
'Whatever your labeling needs, whether short-run, on-demand, large-scale, high volume or niche, Epson has the answer,' said Marc Tinkler from Epson Europe’s commercial and industrial printing division. 'Our color label presses and printers are used for food and beverage labeling, for shelf-edges in supermarkets, takeaways and deliveries, visitor passes and logistics. You can see them on wine bottles, jars, luxury goods, cosmetics, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and so much more. Epson offers almost every kind of label for every type of application!'
'The launch of our SurePress L-5034 is the latest testament to our continuous dedication to providing high-quality, fast, consistent and accurate color label production,' added Tinkler. 'We are committed to providing innovative technology that meets all our customers’ labeling needs.'
The SurePress L-5034 is a new water-based ink digital label printing platform, engineered for higher productivity without compromising print quality, making it a suitable choice for label converters looking to increase productivity and operational efficiency on a broad range of substrates, from non-coated textured papers to metallized stocks.
Its optimizer liquid technology, jetted alongside color inks, optimizes dot formation and ensures precise control of drop placement, resulting in stunning image quality.
Its advanced six-color ink set (CMYK plus Orange and Green) offers an impressive color gamut and extensive Pantone coverage, meeting the stringent requirements of brand owners, while adhering to major chemical substance restrictions for safety in food-related consumer goods.
Equipped with Epson’s PrecisionCore technology, the L-5034 delivers a native resolution of 1200 DPI, ensuring outstanding image quality for fine details, small text, and smooth gradations.
Featuring its proprietary automated real-time nozzle verification technology (NVT) along with a nozzle compensation system, the L-5034 maintains consistent image quality throughout the print run without interruption, thereby enhancing overall productivity.
Its newly designed automated printhead cleaning system minimizes operator intervention and manual maintenance, maximising uptime and increasing efficiency.
The camera system enables automatic image quality adjustments upon printhead replacement, further improving operational efficiency and maximising uptime.
Capable of handling a web width of 340mm and accommodating high-capacity rolls up to 120kg, the L-5034 is built for versatility and reliability.
The new L-5034 will be accompanied by Epson’s other SurePress models, the L-6534VW and L4733AW, on stand E35, Hall 3, and will be commercially available from September 2025.
In addition to the SurePress L-5034, Epson’s stand will feature an extensive range of ColorWorks on-demand color label printers, including the C8000e series, which is designed for high-volume label production while reducing costs associated with pre-printing, such as label waste and over-stocked inventory.
The ColorWorks C8000e features Epson’s unique PrecisionCore printhead technology, enabling an image resolution of 1200 x 600 DPI and accurate reproduction of barcodes and small fonts. Its print speed of 300 mm/sec minimizes run times for on-demand jobs. To further enhance image accuracy and reliability, the C8000e features NVT to prevent misprints, as well as spot color matching and ICC profiling for easy and precise color management.
Epson will also showcase its new ColorWorks D6000 series on-demand industrial label printer, featuring UltraChrome DY dye inks that deliver improved color reproduction and durability on glossy media, catering specifically to the needs of artisan producers and bespoke packaging industries.
Other highlights on Epson’s stand include a demonstration of Epson’s first collaborative robot (AX6) in action with the ColorWorks C6000Pe, automating a test tube labeling process with precision and efficiency, making it suitable for clean-room environments.
It will also showcase the newly launched D3000-U1R PrecisionCore printhead as the latest addition to the D3000 range of PrecisionCore printheads for OEMs. Compatible with UV inks, this 1200 DPI printhead with nozzle-level recirculation is suitable for commercial label production.
