Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group and Ricoh form alliance

Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group and Ricoh Europe have signed an agreement which enables Ricoh to sell the Kodak Nexpress digital color presses and Digimaster EX digital production systems throughout the European Union, Switzerland and Norway. In addition to supplying the Kodak presses, Ricoh will also offer direct support services to its customers.
Mark Clark, Kodak’s regional business manager, EAMER, commented: ‘This cooperation is a great opportunity for Kodak to provide high end print solutions to a wider customer base through the increased coverage. Particularly important to Kodak is the access to corporate space which Ricoh brings. We will be working closely together to ensure that customers get the best solution to their changing printing needs. We offer them the possibility to upgrade presses as they grow their businesses with options to select desired paper capacity, increase processing capability, and add a fifth imaging unit offering in-line new dimensional clear printing with 3-D effect, clear coating, watermarking, glossing, protection coating, color gamut expansion and MICR. Press profiling and standard inks match up to 82 percent of the Pantone spot color gamut with no custom mixing required.’
