Prateek Graphics installs India's first Epson SurePress L-6534VW
Haryana-based company becomes first in India to operate an advanced UV label press.

Prateek Graphics has become the first company in India to install the Epson SurePress L-6534VW, a highly automated UV label press with PrecisionCore printheads at its 25,000 square foot facility in Sonipat, Haryana.
The subsidiary of Prateek Metal Industries, which was established in 1994 in New Delhi, specializes in manufacturing printed labels and stickers. The new press is engineered for short- to mid-volume prime labels and can deliver prints at speeds up to 164 ft/min using high-pigment, low-migration ink.
'We have a fleet of machines comprising label presses of different models and configurations as well as a line of post-press finishing equipment. But we totally redefine labels using the new Epson UV label press which we bought from EPSON India,' explained Manoj Arora, director of Prateek Graphics.
The press features PrecisionCore printheads that deliver prints in resolution up to 600 x 1,200 DPI. Epson's Variable-Sized Droplet Technology produces ultra-sharp graphics as small as 3.2pL. The company decided to invest in the press after being impressed by print samples, its reasonable price and superior performance compared to other machines in its class.
'This new digital UV label press boasts many capabilities revolving around high-quality output, high productivity, print monitoring, multiple-speed modes, stable operations,' noted Arora.
The press offers digital varnishing capability for selective gloss or matte finishes and combines high-opacity white ink, UV printing and a drum pattern system. It is designed to produce labels for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, industrial products and other sectors.
The Epson SurePress L-6534VW offers additional print modes of 30 m/min and 50 m/min for faster print runs. The inks comply with international food standards and safety regulations.
