Reel Label Solutions, Pontyclun, South Wales, has secured business from major international manufacturers in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, as well as various microbreweries, following the installation of EFI’s Jetrion 4830.

Chris Duffin, managing director of Reel Label Solutions, said: ‘Our new Jetrion has given us a range of benefits almost immediately. We now have access to new markets and have expanded the services we offer to existing clients.’

The investment was made to help drive business forward, expand into new sectors and attract customers. Duffin continued, ‘This was by far the biggest investment we have made and the results show we were right to make the move to go digital. We have been able to reduce waste and machine down-time as well as impressing clients with the speed which we are able to create their product and the quality of the labels.’

The new business that has come in due to the Jetrion has allowed us to recruit more skilled design staff and we are also looking at extra shifts to keep up with demand.’

Duffin concluded, ‘Our bottom line has already improved and we are excited to see the impact that the Jetrion has over its first 12 months. Now we've got it we couldn't live without it, and the team here want another!’

The new digital label press, designed to operate within the modern on-demand nature of the industry, is said to make short run label printing profitable by reducing turn-around times, waste and labor costs. It has no requirements for plates and offers faster response times.
