VIPColor Technologies reports success through UK distributor

VIPColor Technologies has reported growing UK sales of its VP485e digital on demand color printer since the appointment earlier this year of Redditch-based reseller KTEC Group.
Robert Knox, managing director of KTEC Group, confirmed the sale of ten VP485e systems with orders for more in the pipeline. ‘The demand for short run, custom labels is growing and the VP485e is meeting this for several reasons,’ he said. ‘Its capacity to print high quality full color labels is impressive. It is five times faster and a third of the cost to print than its closest competitor and it uses four separate color cartridges so if one runs out, only one has to be replaced. Customers can print their own labels in runs as small or as large as needed with no prepress costs or minimum quantity restrictions.’
The VP485e is compatible with Windows and is optimized for 4800 x 1200 dpi print quality. Labels can be printed from roll or fanfold stock. ‘KTEC is achieving success with the VP485e for custom labeling in several market sectors including bee hive products, fisheries, bakeries, health and beauty and wine,’ added VIPColor European and ME director Jules Farkas. ‘There are countless other markets for this product. If an organization uses labels in its processes or packaging, it will undoubtedly benefit from the installation of a VP485e. From private branding to color coding for process control, this is a simple and cost effective system of labeling.’
