In the coming months, several Xeikon Cafés are planned at different venues across Europe, offering a unique opportunity to discover new approaches and technologies, and share knowledge and expertise with peers and other industry professionals.

The concept of a Xeikon Café is to provide an informal knowledge exchange platform covering the different aspects of digitalizing print production.

Each Xeikon Café is organized around a central theme or topic, such as digital printing technology, converting equipment, print media, software or consumables, and targets a specific industry, such as labels and packaging, or document and commercial printing.

Through demonstrations, presentations, workshops and discussions, participants receive first-hand, actionable information and advice on industry innovations and trends. The events will mostly take place at Xeikon customers’ sites, allowing live equipment demonstrations.

This spring’s Xeikon Cafés will focus on labels and packaging. The first one was arranged on April 5 at Demax DPI Plc in Sofia, Bulgaria, and attracted more than a hundred industry professionals.

Forthcoming Xeikon Cafés will take place on May 7 in Denmark, themed around Web2Label production, and on May 16 in France in collaboration with printer Imprimerie Bouley, under the central theme of digital production of wine and spirit labels.

On June 10 and 11, the UK’s CS Labels will play host to Xeikon Cafés looking at the transformation of a label printer, focusing on how it has transformed from a traditional flexo and screen printing company into a digital label printing business.

Similar events targeting the document and commercial printing sector are planned for later this year.
