UK label manufacturer Ditone Labels has secured a two-year contract with Aspar Pharmaceuticals, one of the best known names in the analgesics industry.

The contract will see Ditone produce seven million Braille labels and three million extensia Braille labels per year.

Ditone has significant experience within the Braille labeling field, with sales manager John Haworth sitting on the British Standards Institute’s Braille Advisory Committee.

Aspar is a major supplier of analgesics to the British pharmacy and grocery sectors throughout the UK. It supplies to a range of stores, including many of the major supermarkets and the strict processes that many of these stores employ meant Ditone had to undergo an exacting audit.

Jonathan Prudhoe, project manager of Aspar commented: ‘This is a highly significant contract value, and therefore we needed a packaging supplier that could meet our high standards. Ditone came highly recommended as they have a good track record within the pharmaceutical industry, and their successful audit proved their excellence.’

John Haworth, sales manager for Ditone, commented: ‘Our extensive work within the packaging industry means we have all the processes in place to meet Aspar’s expectations. We have been able to provide them with a functional labeling solution which meets their many labeling objectives.’
