Dow Corning expert to present at 2006 Converting and Package Printing EXPO
At the 2006 Converting and Package Printing EXPO in Chicago, Illinois, USA, this October, Dow Corning pressure sensitive adhesives expert Norman Kanar will present ‘The Advantage Series – A Cost Effective Silicone Release System’ at 9am, October 30.
‘Solventless, platinum-catalyzed silicone release coatings have long set the standard for release performance and reliability,’ said Kanar. ‘However, the Syl-Off Advantage Series is the only line of low-platinum, solvent-free coatings with a solid global track record of proven performance. By using less platinum, you reduce laminate costs. However, Advantage Series also enables you to increase reliability and production speed.’
Kanar’s presentation will show how the Advantage Series’ comprehensive coating-crosslinker-catalyst ‘toolbox’ has enabled users to reduce silicone costs by up to 15 per cent in many high-volume applications; attain record-breaking line speeds without misting; improve conversion speeds and ease of dispensing; control release, cure and cost; achieve compatibility with a range of adhesives; and obtain good substrate coverage, bath life, anchorage and release stability.
Platinum-cure silicone PSAs are commercially available from Dow Corning in solvent-based and solventless versions. Dow Corning is the global market leader in innovating, selling and servicing platinum-cure silicone PSA technology.
The 2006 Converting and Package Printing EXPO will take place October 29 through November 2 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
