Drent Goebel organizes first open house in Montreal
For the first time ever, the Dutch German company Drent Goebel will demonstrate a VSOP press in their newly acquired facility in Montreal, Canada. From June 22 - 27 a 7-color litho press with a web width of 850 mm (33.5 inch) constructed to print various types of substrates ranging from thin film to folding carton will be shown. The press is also equipped with a downstream coater and an Electron Beam curing unit.
All five days (Sunday is not a demonstration day) the VSOP will demonstrate that it can easily print: paper wrap around labels, film for beverage wrappers and flexible packaging, in-mould labels, shrink sleeves as well as folding carton. All this is possible on one machine without having to change the configuration of the press. During the open house visitors also have the possibility to attend one ore more of the workshops about quality, cost saving and environmental issues.
Drent Goebel works in close cooperation with a selected group of suppliers for the modules that the company doesn’t produce itself. All these, so called, preferred suppliers will demonstrate themselves during this Open House as well. This is to emphasize the full system supplier character of the company.
Variable Sleeve Offset Printing is a technology which makes variable print lengths possible in offset. The technology combines the advantages of offset with those of flexo and gravure.
