Ecovillage at Labelexpo Americas 2018 key to TLMI's environmental objectives

Ecovillage will be a designated space on the show floor featuring a comprehensive directory of exhibitors who are committed to best sustainability practices and environmental stewardship, according to the association. Ecovillage will also feature daily sessions that address the current state of sustainability within the North American label printing supply chain, and the most pressing issues that industry converters face today related to environmental compliance.

Each day attendees will also have the opportunity to witness baling demonstrations provided by Channeled Resources Group in the feature area. Additionally, matrix waste from exhibitors’ booths will be baled and collected by Convergen Energy to be made into fuel pellets after the show’s closure. The pellets are an alternative to coal with a lower carbon and overall emissions’ footprint compared to fossil fuels.

Rosalyn Bandy, director of environmental strategies and outreach at TLMI, commented: ‘We are thrilled to be featuring the TLMI Ecovillage at Labelexpo this year.
