ECRM opens new branch office in Germany

Accepted as the birthplace of printing, Germany now ranks as the world’s fourth largest print consuming market (with the third largest GDP), according to PRIMIR. In 2006 the German printing market was valued at over $37 billion. According to the German Printing Industry Federation more than 110,000 professionals in 1,500 print houses currently dedicate their careers to the printing industry.

To meet the growing violet CTP needs of the German printing community, ECRM has announced it has opened a new office in Hildesheim, Germany (just outside of Hannover). The new sales support and marketing office will be managed by Christian J. Wirt, an industry veteran with over 20 years experience within leading graphic arts companies. Prior to accepting this position, Wirt was the area sales manager for ECRM, responsible for all of central Europe. He will now be responsible for managing the ECRM business in Germany and providing product and marketing support to both new and existing ECRM customers and dealers. 

‘Our intention is to provide a local contact for the hundreds of German ECRM customers we have established in the region,’ noted Derek Sizer, vice president, ECRM. ‘By opening the German office, we aim to enhance our support of this base by enabling us to be more responsive to our regional dealer network. With the acceptance and application of violet CTP technology on the rise worldwide, increased localized support is beneficial to our long-term success in major markets, such as Germany.”

To further support the German print community, ECRM has created a separate newly-designed website translated into German. The site, www.ecrm-germany.com <http://www.ecrm-germany.com>, features a private dealer and end-user extranet which provides documents, online tools, and resources for pre-sales support, as well as parts and service documentation, technical specification library, and additional support resources. The new site has been posted and is now available online.
