Edale announces changes to sales division
- Manchester office extends Edale’s footprint across the UK

- Sales manager brings hands-on and technical experience

Press manufacturer Edale has appointed Chris Chappel to the position of sales manager, who will work out of the company’s second office in the UK.

Edale’s new location means the company now has a base in the north of the UK, alongside its existing purpose built premises on the south coast. This provides it with much greater reach and support to its growing list of customers, Edale said.

In his new position, Chappel (pictured, top) will cover sales in the UK and Ireland, as well as a number of export countries.

He has a 13-year history within the print industry both in a technical printing role as well as a sales capacity, and has been a key member of the Edale sales team for just over two years. Chappel was initially employed by Edale as a print application engineer to run the UK showroom and host demonstrations and trials, before moving into a more technical sales role.

His experience at Edale alongside his experience prior to this role, means he brings a wealth of experience in not only Edale, but other conventional press manufacturers machines.

‘Chris was the ideal candidate when we were looking to expand our UK sales team,’ said Edale’s managing director James Boughton.

‘The introduction and launch of the new next generation label and package printing press, the Edale FL-3, was the ideal time to recruit for this position. Chris’s experience of running the Edale range as well as servicing and customer training means he has the in-depth technical knowledge needed for this role.’

Chappel said: ‘Working at Edale for a number of years has enabled me to gain invaluable knowledge on the company’s values and focuses. As well as this, I have been lucky enough to run the full range of presses - so as well as technical experience I am also familiar with the machines from a hands-on perspective.

‘I am looking forward to the challenge that the new role brings, and am keen to introduce Edale’s British designed and manufactured presses into more UK companies.’
