Evidencia signs Log-ic RFID temperature sensor distribution
Intelligent Devices Inc. (IDI) and Evidencia LLP have entered into a distribution agreement to supply IDI’s RFID temperature tracker to food and pharmaceutical cold chain customers.
The Log-ic Temperature Tracker will be presented at IDTechEx’s Smart Labels Conference, held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, from March 27 to 30, 2006 as well as at PIRA’s Smart and Intelligent Packaging event held in Stockholm, Sweden from March 29 to 30, 2006. These Class 3 RFID Log-ic Temperature Sensor tags are promising to facilitate even better control over the cold chain to suppliers and customers worldwide. Evidencia is proud to be running early adopter trials for transoceanic monitoring with industry leaders such as Sanofi, La Croix Rouge (French Red Cross), Pandol Brothers, Chiquita Brands and many others.
Log-ic is a light (under 6g, less than 1/4 oz), two inch (5 cm) square, thin (3.5 mm) flexible RFID sensor tag capable of processing up to 64,000 readings per trip. It is offered in calibration ranges from /- 0.1 to /- 1 centigrade, both as one-trip as well as re-usable versions. Log-ic tags can be programmed and its data collected via the CertiScan wireless 13.56 MHz RFID solution. Handheld data collection devices are expected to be available during the fourth quarter of 2006. Log-ic sensor tags and desktop reader systems are available in commercial quantities immediately.
